See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Discover why Acadia National Park is a hiker’s paradise as you explore trails that offer a variety of challenging terrain and majestic scenery. Led by Registered Maine Guides and other naturalists, this program vividly demonstrates why lovers of the outdoors are drawn to Mount Desert Island from throughout the U.S. to walk the scenic peaks and picturesque valleys of Acadia. Breathtaking views are your reward for each hike completed!

Highlights

• Amazing hikes on Mount Desert Island include Cadillac Mountain and “Ocean Drive.”
• Learn about the geology of this area where mountains rise out of the sea and examine the fascinating flora and fauna of this protected environment.
• A Maine lobster expert shows you how the crustaceans are captured (with authentic gear and live lobsters!) after you enjoy a real Down East lobster dinner.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Hiking for 4-6 hours per day at a comfortable pace, group may be split based on difficulty level desired by participants. Participants should be physically fit and have prior hiking experience.
