See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Heat waves radiate off the 2,000-degree molten glass you gather on your blowpipe as you learn the basics of glass-blowing in this week of hands-on glass in Seattle. Spend three full days in the studios at Pratt Fine Arts Center as experienced artist-instructors provide individual attention in small classes. Marvel at wondrous works of glass during a visit to the studios of major glass artists. Delight in the exhibits of handmade glass in downtown galleries and public installations.

Highlights

• Work with accomplished artist-teachers as you “do it yourself,” learning glass-blowing, casting, fusing and flame-working.
• Explore the studios of renowned glass artists in Seattle, the center of the studio glass world.
• Delight in a visit to the just opened Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit at Seattle Center, showcasing the legendary glass-master's sparkling new creations.

Activity Notes

Walking up to 10 blocks on sidewalks, in buildings. Standing for up to one hour in studio while working on projects.
