Christmas morning dawns clear and cold, the Rockies glowing with the rising sun. Explore the unspoiled wilderness with its magnificent snow covered mountains and glistening glaciers. Enjoy the warmth and camaraderie of an old-fashioned Christmas in the Rockies as you immerse yourself in the winter landscapes, wildlife and history of western Canada. Learn about the winter ecosystem and wildlife during walks with experts.


• An expert-led hike takes you through the frozen falls and caves of Maligne Canyon.
• See some of Canada’s biggest mammals: grizzlies, bighorn sheep and mountain goats.
• Celebrate Christmas Eve with a special dinner and a musical Yule Log ceremony.

The final day of this program includes a lengthy transfer from Banff to Calgary due to unpredictable winter weather conditions. Before making any travel arrangements, please contact the program provider to confirm approximate arrival time at airport.
