Program #15876RJ
10 Days | 9 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Coastal British Columbia boasts an amazing range of breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife and rich cultural heritage and exploration on foot is the perfect way to absorb it all. Set out on expert-led walks and hikes in cosmopolitan Vancouver, the Coast Mountains, temperate rainforests and white sand beaches. Learn about rare ecosystems and intriguing cultures including that of the island-dwelling Sliammon First Nation.

Highlights

• Discover secrets of the ancient rainforest on expert-led walks beneath the towering cedars and Douglas firs of Whistler Mountain.
• Experience Vancouver’s multi-cultural heritage including a traditional dim sum lunch with a local historian in Canada’s largest Chinatown.
• Explore the spectacular fjords and inlets of Desolation Sound on a private boat excursion — keep an eye out for seals, sea lions, eagles and even bears.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Walking / hiking 3-5 miles per day on roads, sidewalks and forest trails.
