EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Explore the rich tradition and proud history of the only native spirit in America while visiting the seven signature distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Learn about the science behind the flavor and taste of some of the finest Bourbons Kentucky has to offer as you pass through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Bluegrass State. Enjoy fine food at local restaurants in the heart of Bourbon country and gain insight into the barrel-making process and its importance to the craft of making Bourbon.

• Expert-led visits to all seven distilleries on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail include tastings highlighting the unique character of each final product.
• Have lunch aboard the My Old Kentucky Dinner Train and explore the Getz Museum of Whiskey History with narration by a docent.
• Hear from a local historian who presents a “Half Pint of Whiskey History With a Shot of Humor,” as well as from experts who discuss the process of creating the barrels in which Bourbon is stored.

Activity Notes

Walking and standing one hour in each distillery, including one day with three distillery visits.
