ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Dazzling landscapes, amazing wildlife and adrenaline-fueled terrain accompany your every boot step on an extraordinary hiking adventure in seven national parks in the United States and Canada — Waterton, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, Kootenay, Jasper and Banff. Set out where two cross-border friends meet in the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. In geothermal-rich Yellowstone, learn why bison, elk and bighorn sheep thrive in the multi-ecosystems. Relish the spectacular view of your hard-earned climb in the jagged Tetons. And in Banff hike to the toe of the Athabasca Glacier for incredible views.

• In Yellowstone, witness Old Faithful’s 91-minute time clock and learn why President Ulysses S. Grant signed an 1872 law making this the world’s first national park.
• Travel the breathtaking Icefields Parkway from Banff to the Columbia Icefields, then relax in the hot springs.
• In Glacier National Park, hike to a cliff overlooking Hidden Lake, watching for marmots and mountain goats.

Activity Notes

Hiking up to seven hours daily over varied terrain; ice fields, glaciers. Elevations up to 10,000 feet.
