Road Scholar
Program #10551RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Explore the incredible beauty of southern New Hampshire as you journey through the breathtaking autumn tapestry of the Monadnock region. Immerse yourself in the history and stories of the people who have made this mountainous region their home during field trips to the historic towns of Harrisville, Nelson and Jaffrey. Ride across historic covered bridges and learn about their importance, and delight in New Hampshire’s music and dance traditions.

Highlights

• Delight in the vibrant reds, ambers and golds of the New Hampshire landscape during a day of autumn leaf peeping.
• Enjoy music for the soul and humorous presentations by local entertainers.
• Visit the Cathedral of the Pines, a beautiful outdoor sanctuary that also serves as a memorial to the nation’s fallen soldiers.

Activity Notes

Walking up to one mile on some uneven surfaces; optional hikes. Choices will always be given to accommodate interests and physical abilities.

Coordinated by Pilgrim Pines Conference Center.
