Great Camp Sagamore is a photographer’s paradise. This course guides both aspiring and experienced photographers through the complexities of the digital maze. Professional photographers provide hands-on instruction from basic photography to refining management and editing techniques with the latest software. Levels vary by date; choose the session that best meets your individual interests, level of experience and photographic goals.


• Gain confidence to push the envelope of your creativity during constructive photo critiques.
• Try your hand at photographing deer, birds and other wildlife in the surrounding woods and waters.
• Select the program date that best suits your photographic abilities and get expert instruction on relevant concepts and techniques.

Activity Notes

Walking up to one mile on groomed trails and unpaved roads. Standing for periods of time without places to sit.

Date Notes
This date is designed for advanced photographers who want to expand their post-processing skills, and focuses on Adobe Photoshop and instructor-guided reviews of participants’ photos. Exercises provide opportunities to explore the special photographic features of Great Camp Sagamore.8/21/2016
Beginner level. This date is for aspiring photographers who want to become more comfortable with their camera's features and abilities. The workshop includes classroom sessions, outside activities, guided reviews and discussions designed to help students become comfortable with their cameras.9/18/2016
Intermediate level. This course is designed for those who are comfortable with photo basics, but wish to extend their skills into areas of post-processing and image manipulation. Course will focus on use of Adobe Lightroom. Exercises provide opportunities to explore the special photographic features of Great Camp Sagamore.
