See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Between the glamorous resort of Aspen and the old coal mining town of Crested Butte lies the rugged Elk Mountain Range. Experience the power and beauty of these peaks on expert-led hikes, learning how the land has been used by Native Americans, miners and, today, skiers. Walk among majestic forests with changing fall colors and look for Rocky Mountain wildlife.

Highlights

• Hike on old mining trails, through open meadows, over mountain passes and to some of the Rockies’ most interesting geological features on daily excursions.
• Crested Butte' already spectacular scenery will be even more beautiful framed by shimmering seasonal Aspen trees
• A trek over the West Maroon Pass trail to Hasley Pass at 12,000 feet offers spectacular views of the Maroon Bells..
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes
