EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Follow in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark as you cross seven states and overnight in 15 cities on a fascinating journey of discovery. Beginning in St. Louis, Mo., go west as an onboard historian helps you bring the story to life traveling the waters, navigating the mountains and trekking the lands as Lewis and Clark did — tracing the final difficult miles along the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean.

• Historic sites, artifacts, lectures and living-history presentations bring this epic story to life.
• Examine a full-size replica of the party’s keelboat and study the relationships between the explorers and Native Americans.
• Cross the Bitteroot Mountains and see the camp where the expedition built five canoes.

Activity Notes

Walking over varied terrain. Must be able to get on and off motorcoach an average of 5 times a day. Not all hotels have elevators or ground-floor rooms. Must carry own luggage.
