Strike it rich on this quintessential family learning adventure along Alaska’s historic, wild and rugged Inside Passage. From the comfort of our small ship, thrill to an enriching frontier wilderness experience at every port — from rare totem poles and fishing villages, humpback whales and glaciers to a thrilling dog sledding adventure and mountainous train ride.


• Experience the massive Mendenhall Glacier, board a skiff to explore Sawyer glacier and quietly view wildlife in Windham Bay.
• See mighty eagles up close at the Sitka Raptor Center and touch sea creatures at the Sitka Sound Science Center.
• Scout for whales, otters, bears, moose and eagles, and delve into boots-on geology through rock collection and identification, plus hands-on native craft projects.

This is a family program for participants, their adult children and grandchildren ages 8 and up.

Walking up to one mile. Climbing in, out of small craft. Paddling kayaks. No elevator on vessel; access requires steep stairs.

Arrival Sitka (Alaska), 1 night; embark Baranof Dream, 7 nights (ports of call include Frederick Sound, Petersburg, Hobart or Windham Bay, Tracy Arm Fjord, Orca Point Lodge, Auke Bay, Juneau, Skagway); disembark Juneau, departure.
