Embark on an adventure from cosmopolitan Atlanta, Ga., to charming Asheville, N.C. Begin in Georgia’s capital with a visit to the Jimmy Carter Presidential Museum and a behind-the-scenes experience in CNN’s world headquarters. The museums and mansions on the campus of the Atlanta History Center round out your stay in this lovely city before you set out on a scenic drive into the mountains to picturesque Asheville. There, immerse yourself in the history of the Biltmore Estate and discover why chocolate and red wine pair so well during a tasting at the Biltmore winery, then delight in the Benjamin Long IV Fresco.

• On the journey from Atlanta to Asheville, revel in the beauty of the Appalachian vistas and walk with an expert through the historic Balsam Mountain Inn.
• Learn how the city of Atlanta rose from the ashes of the Civil War to become a national center of commerce.
• In Asheville, discover rich architectural legacy and its history as an art colony, healing resort and home to notable statesmen and luminaries.
