7 Days | 6 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Join experts on a one-of-a-kind cross-country skiing and snowshoeing adventure in America’s Southwest. Immersed in nature’s beauty during the quiet season of winter, learn from instructors with intimate knowledge of local trails, geology and ecology, and gain unique access to rarely seen areas like Cedar Breaks National Monument. Evenings illuminate ecology, geology and Southwest wildlife, including an up-close look at winter raptors.

Highlights

• Improve your cross-country skiing and snowshoeing techniques with expert instructors.
• Discover the winter ecology and geology of the Colorado Plateau and Bryce Canyon National Park.
• Snowshoe or ski trails rarely experienced by visitors.

Activity Notes

Skiing/snowshoeing 3-10 miles a day; most trails groomed. May bring own skis; rentals available. All ability levels welcome. Elevations of 10,000 feet.
