Road Scholar
Program #15380RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Hilton Head Island is steeped in golf history and renowned the world over for its spectacular ocean-side courses. Work on your golf game and benefit from small-group instruction during morning sessions with a PGA professional who is an expert teacher. Then in the afternoon enjoy the opportunity to play some of Hilton Head’s finest courses, honing your skills and having fun with your fellow Road Scholar golfers.

Highlights

• Improve your pitching, chipping, putting and driving abilities and add to your knowledge of golf’s rules and course maintenance during small-group lessons with a PGA pro.
• Put your game to the test during three 18-hole rounds on challenging, beautifully manicured courses.
• Off the course, immerse yourself in the vast and varied natural beauty this South Carolina island has to offer.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Walking and standing during morning golf instruction; carts provided for afternoon play. Bring your own equipment; limited rentals available for an added fee.
