Road Scholar
Program #21169RJ
24 Days | 23 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Embark on a remarkable journey to Antarctica, amid bustling penguin colonies, singing humpback whales and the feats of legendary whalers and explorers of old.

Highlights

• On Zodiac excursions, delve into the habitats and striking beauty of Antarctica’s extreme environment (weather permitting).
• Learn about the people and intriguing maritime history of the Falkland Islands.
• Sail waters home to minke and humpback whales, while leopard, Weddell and elephant seals bask on ice floes and sea birds drift through the sky.

Program Notes

The liability of the Carrier and Road Scholar for loss of damage to property and or death and or personal injury will be limited in Accordance with the Convention relating to the Carriage of Passengers and their luggage by Sea 1974 (The “Athens Convention”) as set out more fully in the conditions of carriage. The liability of Road Scholar will not under any circumstances exceed that of the carrier. All claims against the carrier must be brought in Canada and will be subject to Canadian law.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes
