EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Choose between attending the semifinal or final round of the prestigious Van Cliburn competition, named for the young American who won the first ever International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow at the height of the Cold War. Meet Van Cliburn Foundation staff, learn about the competition repertoire with a professor of music, go behind the scenes at Fort Worth’s crown jewel, Bass Performance Hall. Feel the passionate excitement!

• A music professor shares fascinating perspectives on the challenges for these young artists — who you choose to see perform in the semifinals or the final round.
• Meet a past competitor from the Van Cliburn Foundation’s Amateur Competition and hear about doors opened as a result of that success.
• Explore beautiful Bass Performance Hall and attend concerts featuring semifinalists with the world-renowned Brentano String Quartet or finalists with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leonard Slatkin.

Program Notes

Register to attend both semifinal and final rounds using Program #18111, “The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth,” and save $200.
