Road Scholar
Program #2559RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 8 - 11 years of age.

What do horses, sharks and clowns have in common? Together, they’re a great reason to explore the Cincinnati area with your grandchild! At a local horse farm, learn about caring for, grooming, and training horses before enjoying an exclusive riding lesson for kids. Encounter sharks, penguins, jellyfish and more at the Newport Aquarium, where thousands of animals from around the world inhabit a million gallons of water. Enjoy a few laughs as a professional clown from Ringling Brothers shares tips and techniques for entertaining in the circus. Take field trips to a state-of-the-art model train museum and the World Peace Bell, and get an amphibious view of the city via duck boat.

Highlights

• “Clown around” with a professional jokester from Ringling Brothers, and learn what it takes to create laughs at the circus.
• Watch a horse-riding demonstration and enjoy an exclusive riding lesson for kids.
• Go through underwater tunnels that bring you face-to-face with sharks, and encounter the myriad of other species who call the Newport Aquarium home.
