6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Experience the beautiful and diverse scenery of northern California from two vantages in this active program. On three day hikes we visit spectacular Point Reyes National Seashore, the majestic old-growth forests of Armstrong Redwoods State Park, and beautiful local beaches. Kayak upstream on the gentle Russian River and observe the redwoods that line its banks. All activities are led by experienced outfitters supplying van transportation, knowledgeable guides and all equipment.

Highlights

• Kayak the smooth waters of the Russian River in comfortable sit-on-top kayaks, watching for deer, osprey, turtles and seals.
• Hike the diverse trails of Pt. Reyes National Seashore, home of over 1,000 species of flora and fauna at the Point Reyes National Seashore.
• Visit the famous Korbel Champagne Cellars and quaint towns of Occidental and Bodega and enjoy pre-dinner wine classes that include wine history, pairings and tasting.

Activity Notes

Hiking up to five miles. Kayaking up to six miles on calm water.
