Program intended for grandchildren from 8 - 11 years of age.

Journey to Utah with your grandchild and go back in time tens of millions of years on this action-packed dinosaur adventure. Lose yourself in the prehistoric world and become a paleontologist as park rangers, scientists and other experts join you at museums and archaeological sites filled with dinosaur bones and the remnants of ancient civilizations. Watch your grandchild becomes a Junior Ranger at Dinosaur National Monument, dig for fossils together and share an overnight in a dinosaur museum. Take home a range of other Utah memories to cherish forever, from carvings made in canyon walls by people who lived 1,000 years ago to a ranch owned by one of Butch Cassidy’s Wild Bunch to whitewater rafting down the famous Split Mountain Gorge on the Green River.

• Marvel at 17 full-size replicas of prehistoric animals at the Utah Field House of Natural History and see billions of years worth of dinosaur fossils exposed in Dinosaur National Monument’s Wall of Bones.
• Picture life as a Native American 1,000 years ago as you examine petroglyphs and pictographs in Red Canyon and ride the whitewater in a raft between the 1,500-foot rock walls of Flaming Gorge.
• Descend hundreds of feet inside Flaming Gorge Dam, step onto the ranch of outlaw Josie Basset, sleep under the belly of a dinosaur in a museum boasting the largest display of dinosaurs in the world and so much more!

Activity Notes
