ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 8 - 11 years of age.

Take flights of imagination into robotics, space exploration, astronomy and more. Meet and learn from outstanding scientists and teachers at the St. Louis Science Center — one of the top four in the country — the Challenger Space Center, McDonnell Planetarium, Boeing Headquarters and amazing City Museum. Have you been concerned about stories that the U.S. is falling behind in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math)? Here’s your chance to share the excitement of discovery and inspire your grandchild to achievements yet unknown.

• Work interactively in a design challenge to build a robot using Lego’s Mindstorm kits.
• Enjoy a simulated space mission at the Challenger Space Center, then build and launch your own rocket.
• Spend a morning at City Museum — part playground, part fun-house, part architectural marvel — and take an afternoon ride to the top of the Gateway Arch.
