ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Journey from the 1920s to the 1950s to experience the “Golden Age” for American music, its musicals, and radio communication. The Brothers Gershwin and Fred Astaire created many unforgettable Broadway shows and musicals. The American Musical was evolving into a genre that would capture the world’s admiration and attention as is exemplified by the timeless My Fair Lady. In the 1920s and 30s, radio created one vast and diverse audience that together experienced the news of the day as well as entertainment from a burgeoning array of shows and performers. Experience the highlights of this glorious time while relaxing by the lovely Delaware seaside!

Highlights

• Through film clips, recordings, live music, and lively lectures, learn how Fred Astaire’s career evolved and the Brothers Gershwin left a lasting imprint on the music of Broadway and Hollywood.
