6 Days | 5 Nights
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Experience the legacy of two storied franchises, the Reds and Dodgers, as you enjoy the intimate and casual atmosphere of spring training baseball. From 1970 into the 1990s these two teams had the best interdivision rivalry in the National League, winning 14 pennants between them in a 21-year span. That winning tradition has reemerged as both of these teams are once again powerhouses. Enjoy at least two games with your team as we immerse ourselves in the history of the game and enjoy discussions with former players, coaches and other baseball “lifers.” Revisit the legends of both teams and get excited about their current stars.

• Enjoy a sing-along with the organist for the Arizona Diamondbacks and discuss the current state of the game with a member of the Society for American Baseball Research.
• Enjoy stories from a former player or baseball historian and hear from a sportswriter about how he conveys the rhythm of the game.
• Go behind the scenes of one of the most innovative ballparks in the majors: Chase Field, regular-season home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Program Notes

Lunch during day games or dinner during night games on your own at the ballparks. Enjoy at least two games with your team, four total. While we request seats in the shade, we occasionally will be in the sun. For best group seating, register by December 1.

Activity Notes

Walk one-half mile; stairs at ballparks. Games attended are dependent on Cactus League schedule, which is finalized in December.

Coordinated by Northern Arizona University.
