Unlock the clues to your ancestors’ fascinating past at the renowned and world's largest genealogy research library — the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Take a beginning course and learn how to organize genealogical materials and compose a personal history. Use the new Family Search Website to organize home and family sources. Participate in the intermediate course and become a historian and utilize the Family History Library Catalog to study land records and population movement, court records and military indexes. For those looking for more experience, come to this course and continue to learn and use the Family History Library to further utilize records, indexes, newspapers and beyond.


• Learn about your family’s history in the world’s largest genealogical library, with more than 2 million rolls of microfilm.
• Absorb the rich details of your ancestry through private consultations with a professional researcher in all courses.
• Listen to an angelic evening rehearsal by the world renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Program Notes

Program fee includes two hours of individual consultation from a professional researcher. If needed, you can sign up for more help at an additional cost or get free help from the knowledgeable volunteer staff in the library.
