See all of our New programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
If you’re looking for a more flexible schedule with ample independent time and several meals on your own, then our FLEX learning adventures are made for you.
In all of North America, there are few places more special to ring in the New Year than the winter wonderland of Quebec City. Among the snow-dusted cobblestones and monuments and centuries–old neighborhoods, experience the holiday customs, food, song and dance of French Canada, all while based in the heart of the Old Town at the incomparably grand Château Frontenac and with plenty of independent time to make your own discoveries. On a special outing, marvel at the beauty of the surrounding region on Le Train du Massif de Charlevoix. Enjoy a special lecture on the history of Quebec and view the prestigious collection of Inuit Art at the National Museum of Fine Arts.

Highlights

• Spend five nights at historic Château Frontenac, and count down to midnight in a jubilant outdoor party as musicians and fireworks provide the entertainment.
• Take a spectacular journey by train to Charlevoix along the St. Lawrence River between mountains and seashore. Choose to either ski or snowshoe at mountain Le Massif de Charlevoix or experience the lovely Baie St-Paul Village, renowned for its numerous art galleries and artisan workshops.
• Enjoy a scenic carriage ride illustrating daily life in Québec, and enjoy several meals on your own to experience the varied and exciting Quebec City culinary scene.

Activity Notes

Walking up to two miles daily over uneven terrain, sometimes snow covered. Standing, stairs and cobblestones.
