DENMARK: Many consider the Danes to be the happiest people on the Earth. This southernmost country in Scandinavia’s history is tied to the sea. Study the Viking culture and Denmark’s history of military skirmishes with Sweden and Germany. Delve into WWII history and Denmark’s organized resistance to save its Jews. SCOTLAND: The pipes are calling. Explore Scotland’s relationship with England and its system of government. All lads and lassies are invited to practice some Gaelic words and phrases in your best Scottish accent. Study the poetry of Robert Burns and the classic literature of J.M.
