EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Join us for an operatic experience unlike any other as Seattle Opera presents the entirety of Richard Wagner’s “Ring” cycle in its state-of-the-art venue, Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. Attend all four epic dramas in Wagner’s magnum opus, “Der Ring Des Nibelungen,” and gain an in-depth understanding of the most monumental work in the entire repertoire. A lecture before each opera in the cycle, plus a full-day symposium of presentations by internationally-known experts on Wagnerian opera, ensure that you get the very most out of every note. In addition, enjoy the many cultural and historical riches of the world-class city of Seattle with locals who know this lively Pacific Northwest city inside and out.

• Go behind the scenes of the state-of-the-art Marion Oliver McCaw Hall with Seattle Opera tech staff to see what it takes to stage a production of such monumental scale.
• Seattle Repertory Theater’s evening of songs and sketches based on the “Ring” provides a lively new perspective on Wagner and his work.
• Take a study cruise on Lake Union, “lock through” Chittenden Locks, explore the Seattle Art Museum and observe Seattle from atop the Space Needle.
