Road Scholar
Program #6169ENZ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Easy
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Nestled in southwest New Hampshire, West Swanzey is one of several postcard perfect towns in the Monadnock region. Winding wooded roads through six covered bridges, historic sites and Mount Monadnock itself offer an incredible opportunity to capture its essence in time on canvas. Join us for the first week in September, designed for the beginner to the novice or in June or the second week of September for intermediate to advanced watercolor artists. Our studio is surrounded by the incredible beauty of nature awaiting your presence.

Highlights

• Develop new skills or improve your old ones and enhance your creativity and wonder under the tutelage of experts.
• Enjoy opportunities for out-of-door sketching and painting and use open studio time for additional practice.
• Take part in demonstrations, lectures and constructive critiques, and conclude the week with an art exhibition.
