EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
In 1942, German U-boats sank ships off the Delaware coast, as one of the world's strongest and most secret forts was built nearby. War's end saw one of the two most deadly U-boats surrender and strike her colors at Lewes, Delaware. Explore the subversive activities from the times of the Revolutionary War through the Cold War. Discover how women actively participated as spies and strongly influenced the outcomes of armed conflicts. Interesting and surprising information abounds.

Highlights

• Enhance your knowledge of Delaware’s involvement in World War II with expert-led lectures and discussions.
• Learn about Delaware’s important position as a strategic defense point for military planners during World War II.
• Gain an intimate knowledge of the women involved in espionage during World War II and beyond.
