EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 10 - 14 years of age.

Journey with your grandchild to Seattle, bustling cultural hub of the Pacific Northwest and gateway to the wonders of Mount Rainier National Park. Explore the Chittenden Locks, fly kites in Gasworks Park and visit otters and octopuses at the Seattle Aquarium. Ride among herds of bison and elk at a wild animal park and hike the trails of Mount Rainier National Park. Cruise through Puget Sound on a Washington State ferry, go behind the scenes at Safeco Field, pick blueberries at a working farm and look out on all you’ve experienced from atop the Space Needle.

Highlights

• Hike amid the waterfalls, wildflowers and glaciers of 14,410-foot Mount Rainier.
• Learn about the history and operation of the Chittenden Locks from an Army Corps of Engineers interpreter and visit the botanical gardens, locks and fish ladder.
• Ride a Washington State ferry to Vashon Island in Puget Sound to visit the Point Robinson lighthouse.

Activity Notes

Walking up to 15 blocks on city streets. Optional walking in meadows, around waterfalls, on maintained trails.

Coordinated by Evergreen Adventures.
