Program #20426ENZ
14 Days | 13 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
From the U.S. to Canada, across Great Lakes, through the canals and locks of the Welland Canal and the St. Lawrence Seaway — embark on a nautical journey through North America’s “inland seas” encompassing amazing natural beauty, diverse cultures, historic small villages to soaring metropolises.

Highlights

• Experience Chicago, Detroit and Montreal on city field trips led by local experts.
• Sail through the St. Lawrence Seaway, a deep-water passage of lakes, canals and locks, and the beautiful Thousand Islands.
• Learn about daily life for the residents of Mackinac Island, a Victorian-era haven where cars are forbidden.

Program Notes

The June date runs from Montreal to Chicago; the August date runs from Chicago to Montreal. All ports are the same.

Activity Notes

Walking up to one mile per day. Standing for up to two hours at a time, up to four hours a day. Mobility is essential, as small boats and tenders are sometimes used for disembarkation and re-embarkation. There is no elevator on the ship.
