Ride along the historic rails of New England’s railroads on an adventure through the Connecticut River Valley, the mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont, and the cranberry bogs of Cape Cod. Stop to explore railroad museums, enjoy nostalgic train rides, meet with railroad historians and the people who operate these historic trains. Take a spectacular ride to the summit of Mount Washington aboard the Cog Railway and visit the Mount Washington Observatory and Cog Railway Museum.


• Hear about New Hampshire’s railroads from a railroad historian and journalist, and then join him aboard the Conway Notch Train.
• Board the Cape Cod Central Railroad with a railroad historian and visit one of its historic stations.
• Ride the beautiful Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train on a scenic journey along the Pemigewasset River.

Program Notes

Ride via motorcoach to each destination in New England. We make every effort to allow time to explore each village and town we visit throughout the program - however, please be aware that time on the bus is crucial in getting you from place to place.
