Road Scholar
Program #15605ENZ
4 Days | 3 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 7 - 11 years of age.

Transport yourself into exotic East Africa to experience the sights and sounds of the Serengeti as you gaze with your grandchild on some of nature’s most majestic animals. Led by a naturalist, observe giraffe, gazelle and scimitar-horned oryx from an authentic safari jeep. Trek through the inner grounds of the preserve to view lemurs, cheetahs and birds, and prepare a presentation on an animal assisted by on-site experts and study materials.

Highlights

• Enjoy a truly immersive African experience by staying overnight in tents imported from Africa with views of grazing giraffes.
• Get up close with a private presentation of mammals and reptiles of all shapes and sizes.
• Move to the rhythm and beat of African dance.

Activity Notes

Walking up to one mile, some uneven terrain.

Coordinated by Road Scholar.
