While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Travel from the beautiful Black Hills of Western South Dakota to Wyoming's parks and monuments as you explore the historical, cultural and geological aspects of this exceptional adventure. Enrich your appreciation of wildflowers, trees and wildlife as you wind your way through the Big Horn Mountains, Shell Canyon, mountain lakes and grassy plains. Be mesmerized by natural and manmade wonders including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park and the Mammoth Site in South Dakota. Experience the mystique of Devils Tower Monument, visit Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, then witness ongoing thermal features of Yellowstone National Park — including Old Faithful Geyser, the world's best-known geyser. Hear the roar of waterfalls and see the vivid colors of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and experience the majestic, jagged mountains of Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole.

Highlights

• At Mount Rushmore, walk the half-mile Presidential Trail and discover why the four presidents were selected, see how the mountain was carved and learn about sculptor Gutzon Borglum.
• Experience the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyo., the oldest and most comprehensive museum of the West that has grown from a log cabin in 1927 to a seven-acre building valued at $143 million today.
• In Yellowstone National Park, explore the iconic Lake Hotel, the waterfalls at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and travel through Hayden Valley and hope to see herds of bison and other wildlife.
