See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Experience the beauty of Florida’s Southwest Coast and the Gulf of Mexico as you bike along its exquisite barrier islands. Pedal through Bonita Beach, Lover’s Key and Fort Myers Beach, and thrill in the natural beauty of peaceful Sanibel, the Captiva Islands and Pine Island. Along the way, visit the treasures of these scenic and historic islands and enjoy expert-led presentations on the area’s history, from the Calusa Kingdom to the pirates who once took harbor here in island hideaways.

Highlights

• Pay a visit to the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum on Sanibel Island.
• Witness the spectacular migratory bird population as you pedal through the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge.
• Ride the ferry to Pine Island and spend an afternoon in the artisan community of Matlacha.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Mileage 19 - 27 miles of riding per day. 3 days are 20 miles with 1 long day of 27. Biking on paved roads. Pacesetter and sweeper monitor group.
