Program #4977ENZ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Program intended for grandchildren from 8 - 11 years of age.

Sagamore's Grands Camp brings families together in a unique natural setting in the Adirondack wilderness. With your grandchild, experience a memorable adventure tailored to all interests and skill levels while enjoying a fun, educational adventure in a camp that is not a hotel, but a piece of Vanderbilt family history.

Highlights

• Experience outdoor adventures such as stream walking, canoeing, hiking, and games or crafts and music lessons from instructors and artists.
• Experience lively nights enjoying an old-fashioned barn dance, s’mores around a campfire, or a music concert by your instructors.
• Cap the week with Creativity Night, when you tell a joke, show off a craft you made during the week, sing a song — you decide! Whatever you do, expect warm applause.
Due to the nature of this program, listening devices are not available.

Activity Notes

Walking over one mile a day on uneven terrain. May include walking in shallow stream. Stairs unavoidable.
