7 Days | 6 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Learn about the history and culture of the Wisconsin Northwoods and experience its stunning natural beauty. In the 20,000-acre Sylvania Wilderness, hike through magnificent old-growth forests home to 200-year-old eastern hemlock, yellow birch and sugar maple trees as professional naturalists interpret all you see. Pay visits to a logging and Civilian Conservation Corps museum and a re-created Ojibwe village, and experience the world's largest mechanical-globe-style planetarium. Canoe with loons and bald eagles on pristine waters, take a pontoon ride on the Eagle River and do much more on this fascinating adventure.

Highlights

• Walk atop a mat of floating vegetation in a bog and investigate this unique wetland ecosystem.
• Walk the Franklin Lake Nature Trail with expert naturalists, winding through the Nicolet National Forest to observe nearly every habitat type found in the area.
• Visit the Northwoods Wildlife Center and explore this wildlife rehabilitation facility with a staff member as you observe a variety of raptors, turtles and other animals.
