Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Experience a rare opportunity to study with an Arizona Highways magazine photographer. Armed with your digital or traditional camera, share professional techniques through in-the-field, hands-on photo adventures and class critiques. Enjoy nature walks and other opportunities to capture memories of Arizona as you "develop" your skills and "shoot" it out with some of the best in the West.

Highlights

• Enjoy a day trip to the red-rock country of Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon.
• Shoot sunsets at the Superstition Mountain Range and other nature settings in the lush Sonoran Desert.
• Visit the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix to frame the natural habitat of wildlife, birds, wildflowers and cacti.

Program Notes

Emphasis on digital photography. Traditional photographers welcome, but film processing not possible; only digital photos will be critiqued. Tri-pod recommended.

Activity Notes

Walking and standing as far and as long as participant is comfortable. Photograph close to the bus or venture out.
