The Greatest Generation” experienced some of the most dramatic and events and changes in American history during the 1940s. Join us to recall and relive some of the most celebrated and iconic aspects of the era.

• Led by an expert movie buff, examine films that helped define the spirit of the age — at least as Hollywood saw it — along with leading stars and directors. Watch and discuss clips from movies including “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
• See “The Effect of WW II on American Lives and Baseball” and hear first hand from an All-American Girls Professional Baseball League player, then attend a Major League Baseball spring training Cactus League game!
• Attend the largest 1940s-style Big Band Dance in the nation! Dancing not required — enjoy dinner, music! View WWII Aircraft on display at the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum. Visit Arizona Capitol Museum and see artifacts from WWII including parts from the USS Arizona. Plus, take a field trip to see what remains of the POW Camp at Papago Park.
