Road Scholar
Program #12157ENZ
13 Days | 12 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Surrounded by a natural aquarium, the rugged, magical landscape of Baja California is a premium wildlife destination virtually untouched by humans. Immerse yourself in vast desert expanses rich in exotic vegetation and explore pristine beaches framed by jagged mountains and azure waters teeming with life. Journey through this land to experience the peaceful solitude it inspires, choosing the date that corresponds to your passion, whether it’s photography, birding or to get up close and personal with Baja’s gray whales.

Highlights

• Explore the diverse ecosystems of Baja, including protected areas and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You’ll swim with playful sea lions and, in whale season, interact with gray whales at arm's length.
• Visit wine countries, Spanish missions, fishing villages and mining towns to learn about explorers, adventurers and religious seekers who have been drawn to Baja throughout its history.
• Expand your knowledge in the field of your interest with specialized dates for photographers, birders and gray whale lovers.
