EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Experience French music through the compositions of Debussy, Ravel and Bizet. The early arabesques by Debussy are more romantic in style, while the preludes are almost a "textbook" of early 20th-century compositional techniques. A master orchestrator and Impressionist composer, Ravel often conjured vivid, fantastic images with his music, as in his orchestration in Mussorgsky's “Pictures at an Exhibition.” Bizet's “Carmen” was a rule-breaker, much like its title character. Premiering at the Opera-Comique in Paris in 1875, discover why it ran only for 48 performances with mixed reviews but went on to become one of the most performed operas in the world.

Highlights

• Enjoy Debussy’s “Gaspard de la nuit,” which is one of the virtuosic highlights of the entire piano repertoire.
• Explore Ravel’s enchanted world through his greatest works for orchestra, including “Ma mère l'ye,” “La Valse” and “Bolèro.”
• Journey through Bizet’s “Carmen” while learning about the Toreador's Song, the Seguidilla and the Habanera.
