Road Scholar
Program #14812RJ
10 Days | 9 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Start of Program
Jan 30, 2015
This program begins with morning arrivals in Baltra on Day 2.
You will be staying at the La Pinta Yacht that night.
Location: Galapagos Islands
Transportation to site: Group transfer information for Baltra arrivals will be confirmed in the final program materials approximately 5 weeks prior to departure. If you booked your flights with Road Scholar, the group airfare has a forced overnight in Quito due to air schedules. The hotel overnight and transfers in Quito are included in your Road Scholar air. If you arranged your own airfare, you may or may not require an overnight in Quito. If flights arranged on your own do require an overnight, you will be responsible for arranging this on your own at an additional cost.

End of Program
Feb 7, 2015
This program ends after breakfast with flights to the Ecuador mainland.
You will be staying at the La Pinta Yacht the night before.
Location: Galapagos Islands
Transportation to site: Participants who are unable to make the group transfer to the airport at the end of the program must arrange private transfers. When departing Ecuador, all guests will be required to pay an Ecuadorian Departure Tax. Those departing from Guayaquil will be charged $25.00 (subject to change). All fees are in U.S. dollars and must be paid at the airport prior to clearing immigration .
