Description: Kelly Place is both an outdoor educational center and unique bed and breakfast located in the heart of the Four Corners. The lodge is an adobe-style building with courtyards, built in the mid-1960's. The atmosphere is relaxed, southwestern style. On-site, prehistoric "cliff-dweller" ruins are found in various stages of excavation or restoration. Hiking into Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, bordering Kelly Place, offers both natural beauty and more Ancestral Puebloan ruin sites. Kelly Place is nestled in a sculpted red-rock canyon at the base of majestic Sleeping Ute Mountain. Fruit trees planted by former owner of Kelly Place and celebrated horticulturist, George Kelly, are at their mature best.
