Road Scholar
Program #16434RJ
28 Days | 27 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Start of Program
Feb 18, 2014
Auckland, New Zealand. The program commences with the arrival of the designated group flight - QF145 due at 4:50pm - at Auckland Airport.
You will be staying at the Copthorne Hotel Auckland City that night.
Location: Auckland
Nearest airport: Auckland International & Domestic Airports
Transportation to site: For participants arriving in Auckland a day or two early, a regular Airbus Express service runs from the airport to Auckland's Central Business District. The service drops off at designated stops down Queen Street and terminates at the downtown Ferry Terminal next to Britomart. From here the best option is to take a five-minute taxi ride to the Copthorne Auckland City. Tickets for the Airbus Express currently cost NZ$16 per person and can be purchased from the kiosk beside the bus stop at the airport. Alternatively, a taxi from the airport will cost from NZ$75 - NZ$95 depending on traffic conditions.

End of Program
Mar 15, 2014
Sydney, Australia. The program ends after breakfast on Day 28. Participants on the designated group flight are then transferred to Sydney Airport.
You will be staying at the Mercure Hotel Sydney Airport the night before.
Location: Sydney
Nearest airport: Sydney International and Domestic Airports
Transportation to site: For participants making their own way to Sydney Airport at the conclusion of the program, there is a scheduled airport hotel shuttle service that runs from the final hotel to the airport. It can be booked at hotel reception when you arrive at the hotel for your final night. The cost is currently AU$6 per person.
