You will be staying at the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch that night.

Nearest airport: Reno International Airport (Reno, NV)
Transportation to site: There is no public transportation to the Ranch. If traveling by air it is advisable to fly into Reno International Airport and rent a car. The Ranch is 70 miles (about and hour and a half drive) from Reno.

Program ends at 10:00 AM following a farewell breakfast, with room check out by 11:00 AM.
You will be staying at the Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch the night before.

Description: Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch is a cozy, western-style ranch with the right facilities and amenities to make your time there comfortable, fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch is a working horse ranch with over 120 head. They offer training in riding skills, daily rides and all aspects of equine education.

Room amenities: Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch offers cozy, comfortable, lodging with a western style. The main lodge includes 10 rooms (some adjoining). In addition to the lodge there are 16 cabins. Most Road Scholar participants will be in the lodge. Some cabins may be assigned, as needed. The lodge and cabins are all set in the tall pines and only a few steps from the chuck house, saloon, and other amenities. All rooms and cabins have a private bath with shower, heat, and fans (no AC). Daily tidy-up service is offered. Cabins and rooms do not have TVs or telephones.

Facility amenities: The two story lodge includes the ranch office and guest check-in, a large fireplace for warming up on chilly mornings, a guest computer, a small library, an upstairs balcony for relaxing, and the gift shop (including an assortment of shirts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, bandanas, hats, sunscreen, sundries, fishing supplies, laundry soap, souvenirs, and more). Onsite guest laundry is available. Check with the front desk in the main lodge for hours of operation. The saloon / recreation building includes a saloon that sells beer, wine and hard liquor along with soda and ice cream. The game room (in the saloon building) features pool tables, ping pong table, video / arcade games, two card tables and more. The heated pool is right next to the saloon. There are plenty of lounge chairs if you prefer to relax poolside. The main lawn has two horseshoe pits and a volleyball net. There is even a disc golf course through the forest along the creek!
