Road Scholar
Program #20646RJ
9 Days | 8 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Easy
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Start of Program
Sep 4, 2013
A light lunch will be served at 12:30pm in the hotel. At 3:00pm take a panoramic coach ride around central city. The welcome meeting is at 5:00pm in the hotel.
You will be staying at the Ashling Hotel that night.
Location: Dublin.
Nearest city or town: Dublin.
Nearest airport: Dublin.
Transportation to site: There are a number of bus services operating from Dublin airport. The best public transport link from Dublin Airport to the hotel is the aircoach. Aircoach - This service departs every 15 mins outside the Arrivals terminal at the Airport. If using the Aircoach your stop off is "Trinity College". When you get off the bus, follow the railings of Trinity college back around onto Pearse Street. Continue walking down Pearse Street, about 250 metres, you will see the hotels' glass façade. The one-way fare from the airport is 7 Euros and return is 12 Euros. The Aircoach is easily identifiable, it is usually a blue bus with Aircoach on the side. For timetables and more information about the Aircoach visit www.aircoach.ie Taxi service. Outside of the arrivals hall there is a taxi rank. Standard taxis carry 4 persons, but you can request a seven seater. All taxis are metered, expect to pay approx 30 Euros to get to the hotel.
