Description: Colonel Butler Inn is named after Colonel John Butler, a seasoned veteran of the Seven Years’ War and leader of the famous Butler’s Rangers. Niagara-on-the-Lake was formerly Newark, the capital of Upper Canada, and a colony created by Butler. The Inn is within minutes of the picturesque center of town and several of the Shaw Festival theaters. You might also enjoy sitting on the verandah, watching the world pass by or taking advantage of the inn’s spa and exercise facilities.
