You will be staying at the Hotel Messner that night.
Location: Venice
Nearest city or town: Venice
Nearest airport: Venice Marco Polo
Transportation to site: Transfers provided for group travelers on June 25. Independent travelers can request to join the courtesy transfer by contacting Trinity College. To reach the program site on your own from the airport: for land service, take ATVO bus (frequent service), fare is approx. € 5 pp, from Marco Polo airport to Piazzale Roma. From there you can cross the Grand Canal via the number 1 Vaporetto, ticket costs approx. € 7 pp. Get off at vaporetto stop "La Salute". The Hotel Messner is a five minute walk from the vaporetto stop. Alternatively, boat-taxi fare from airport directly to Hotel Messner is approx. €120. Max 6 passengers per taxi boat.

Water taxis are available from Hotel Messner to the Marco Polo airport. Fare is approx. € 120. Max 6 passengers per taxi boat. For public bus and land transportation, see above and follow directions in reverse.

 Description: This hotel is ideally situated in the "Salute" neighborhood of Venice, a quiet residential area across the Grand Canal from St. Mark's Square. It is close to the Basilica della Salute, which is also a stop on the vaporetto route. The Guggenheim Museum is right around the corner. The hotel is family run, small and pleasant.
