Check into airport hotel in Bangkok the afternoon of Day 3. This is a necessary overnight because of the early morning flight to Bhutan.
You will be staying at the Best Western Premier Amarath that night.
Location: Bangkok
Nearest airport: Suvarnabhumi Airport (New Bangkok International Airport)
Transportation to site: If independent flights do not coincide with the designated group transfer, it will be the responsibility of the participant/s to make arrangement to get to the program site. A public taxi stand is located on Level 1 (Ground Level) at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Please go to www.bangkokairportonline.com/ to get more information about available transportation services from the airport to the hotel. The cost of the taxi is approximately $30. Make sure that the taxi has a meter and that the driver turns the meter on. The Best Western Premier Amarath also provides around the clock Shuttle Mini-bus service connecting the Hotel with Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport. This service will be complementary to the resident guests. To gain access to the Hotel Shuttle Mini-bus service from the Airport, guests must contact the hotel’s Airport Representative located at the Airport: To find them, please take Exit B when exiting the Customs area into the Airport buffer hall. At the bottom of Exit B, please head to Door Number 5 where the Airport Representatives will be pleased to assist you, they will be holding a sign with the Best Western Premier Amaranth Logo. Private transfers -at an additional cost- may be arranged in advance by the calling Road Scholar Travel Services. The transfer from the airport to the hotel will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on the traffic.

Transportation to site: To utilize the hotel shuttle mini-bus service out to the Airport, please advise the Concierge who is located within the hotel main lobby. (This information is taken from the hotel website and subject to change without prior notice). Shuttle service is provided every 30 minutes or so. Depending on traffic, it approximately takes 15 to 30 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport.
