ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Start of Program
Jan 4, 2014
This program begins at 6:00 pm on Day 2 in Bridgetown, Barbados at the program hotel.
You will be staying at the Divi Southwinds Beach Resort that night.
Location: Bridgetown
Transportation to site: All participants who purchase air travel through Road Scholar Travel Services will be provided with a transfer from Barbados Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) to the Time Out Hotel in Bridgetown Barbados. If you are arranging your own flight, you will be responsible for making your own way from the airport to the hotel. We recommend flights that arrive in Bridgetown before 4:00 pm, so you arrive in time for the program orientation.

End of Program
Jan 30, 2014
This program ends on Day 27 after transferring to the Santiago airport in the afternoon.
You will be staying at the MV Minerva the night before.
Location: Aboard the MV Minerva
Transportation to site: The group flight from Santiago is scheduled to depart late in the evening on Day 27. Upon disembarking the ship in Valparaiso, there will be a full day field trip, and you will be dropped off at the airport for your returning flights. If you are making your own air arrangements, we do not recommend flights that depart before 9:00 pm, so you can join the final day of exploring in Santiago. Participants on earlier flights, may miss some (or all) of the activities scheduled. All participants departing after 9:00 pm, will be picked up at the Port of Valparaiso for a full day tour of Santiago. You will be dropped off at the Santiago International Airport (SCL) in the early evening.
