The trip was held at awesome locations with great food and accommodations. The leaders, naturalist, and staff at both DEC and North Faced Lodge were very knowledgeable, fun people and pleasant to be with. Most guest speakers had enthusiasm and passion for the topic. The hiking was spectacular. All these parts helped us to have a better understanding of our natural world. The group of people who chose to take this Roads Scholar trip could not have been more fun and congenial.

What's not to like? Great location, fantastic food (but didn't gain a pound which was totally unexpected), knowledgable and entertaining staff, interesting seminars and a fun group of travelers.

This was an awesome experience. The expert guides knew their stuff from berries to bears to geology The staff, accommodations and meals at DEC and North Face Lodge were 10 Plus. To top it off the travelers in the group were wonderful.

Lyn, from PA My 4th trip and My husbands 2ed. Attended: 08/17/14 - 08/25/14 It was an amazing trip! Very informative, the guides were terrific and helpful, with all our questions. The wildlife was cooperative and gave us a treat in seeing them. The bears from the bus were quite a thrill. All was a delight, and we would not mind, doing it all over again. Great trip. We had a wonderful group, everyone got along well.

Our first Road scholar trip was truly a winner. Denali is a wilderness treasure. We saw grizzlies up close (from the bus, of course), picked wild blueberries on the tundra exploding with fall color, viewed Mt. McKinley reflected in mountain lakes, learned about the boreal forest from experts and made new friends from all over the country. All staff and the North Face Lodge were superb. This vacation was one of our best ever.

Susan from Charlotte, NC Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 08/17/14 - 08/25/14
The adventure of a lifetime! The beauty, majesty, vastness of Denali was unrivaled and the leaders very knowledgable and fun. Hiking on the tundra, learning about the flora and fauna, hoping to see a moose or bear, all contributed to the experience I will never forget. Thank you Road Scholar!

My first "group" vacation, and I couldn't feel more positive about the experience.

Peter from Salt Lake City, UT Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 07/06/14 - 07/14/14
We chose this program because of the length of time spent in the park. You talk with so many people that see the park a day or two at best -- usually restricted by bus rides. No way to explore the wonder and shear beauty... The guides were so knowledgeable, entertaining and available that combined with the scenery, the trip was terrific. ...
